USE CASE

Property-tour and listing videos: automatically blur 'faces caught in the frame'

The agent guiding a property tour, your own reflection in a mirror, a family member who wandered into your listing video. Hide them all by just picking the file, no reshoot required. Everything runs inside the browser.

Sound familiar?

Mosaic Post is a service that uses AI to automatically detect faces in your video and blur them. Even through a mirror or glass, anything recognized as a face is a candidate for blurring.

Videos up to 3 minutes are free. For short clips like property tours or marketplace listings, that gets your footage ready to publish at no cost and with no sign-up.

Reshooting a property tour means scheduling another visit and an escort, adding both cost and days before you can publish. It's faster and more reliable to keep the footage you have and process only what's caught in the frame. However many staff, residents, or passersby appear, the work is the same.

Another advantage for work footage: it never leaves your hands. Because the processing runs in the browser, your video is never sent to our servers and never passes through an outside editor. That holds even where internal policy restricts sending material outside the company.

How it differs from free editing apps

Designed to protect your privacy

Nothing is uploaded

Face detection and blurring both run inside your own device. Your video never travels over the network.

Nothing to delete, because nothing is stored

We never receive your video in the first place. There is no retention window to keep track of and no deletion to wait for.

Never used for AI training

Since your video never reaches us, there is nothing to train a model on or pass to a third party. It is ruled out by the design, not by a promise.

No sign-up, no payment

It is free, and you never enter an email address or card details. Open the page, pick a video, done.

How it works

  1. 01

    Pick a video

No account, no app to install. Open the page and choose a video — even at this point, nothing is uploaded.

  2. 02

    Faces are found

AI detects faces across every frame, tracking everyone automatically, including people who walk in mid-scene.

  3. 03

    Choose who to hide

Every detected face appears in a list. Take out any you want left visible — keep yourself and hide everyone around you, for instance.

  4. 04

    Export and save

The blurred video is written out. Expect roughly 1.3 times the length of the video on a computer, and several times that on a phone.

Price

Free

For videos up to 3 minutes. Larger files, such as 4K, are scaled down to Full HD on export.
Automatic detection is never perfect. Please check the finished video before you publish it.

Frequently asked questions

Are faces in mirrors or glass covered too?

If it can be recognized as a face, reflections through a mirror or glass are candidates for blurring. Reflections can be too indistinct to detect, though, so please check before publishing.

Can it hide nameplates or license plates too?

Right now, automatic processing only covers faces. Support for license plates and the like is being considered as a future expansion.

What if I can't get consent from the people in the video?

Making individuals unidentifiable by hiding their faces is the most reliable practical remedy. Whether footage can be published is always a case-by-case judgment — if in doubt, see our related article on the basics of likeness rights.

Is a vertical video shot on a phone okay?

No problem. Either portrait or landscape orientation works, and common formats like mp4 and mov can be processed straight from your phone.

Can I submit several videos at once?

One video at a time, but there is no limit on how many you do. It is free, so run as many as you like.

Will I get a receipt? (Can I use it for expense reports?)

It depends on your device. Expect roughly 1.3 times the length of the video on a computer, and several times that on a phone. A time estimate is shown while it runs.
