No upload / no sign-up / free
Blur the faces in your video without it ever leaving this page
Your video is never sent to a server. Face detection and blurring both run inside your own device. Videos up to 3 minutes.
- Nothing is uploaded
- No sign-up, free
- Choose which faces to hide
This browser can't run the tool. It doesn't support WebCodecs, the API used to read and write video on your device. Please try Chrome, Edge, or Safari 16.4 or later.
This device has no GPU acceleration, so it will take longer than usual (a few minutes for a one-minute video).
This keeps the video within what your device can handle, and the quality is plenty for social media. Your original file is left untouched.
Getting ready...
Choose which faces to hide
The area shaded red is what gets hidden. Tap a face to leave it visible. The same person may appear more than once if they leave the frame and come back.
See the results for yourself
Real footage, real output. Faces are tracked as they move, even with several people in frame.
Why nothing needs to be uploaded
-
The processing runs inside this page
The face-detection model is loaded onto your device and everything is computed there. Your video never touches the network.
-
So there is no queue and no storage
Nothing is handed to anyone's server, so there is no waiting in line and no wondering when your file gets deleted. Close the page and it is gone.
-
You decide which faces to hide
Every detected face appears in a list, and you can take any of them out. Keep yourself visible and hide everyone else, for instance.
Where people use it
- Bystanders' faces → Blur every passerby caught in your travel or street vlog before you post.
- Your child's face → Share sports-day and recital videos with other children's faces hidden.
- Employees' or customers' faces → Process staff and customer faces in one go — no editing software needed.
- Incidental appearances → Clean up people caught in property tours and listing videos, no reshoots.
Frequently asked questions
Is my video really never uploaded?
It really isn't. Everything happens inside the browser. Once the page has loaded, it even works with the network disconnected.
Does it cost anything?
No. There is no charge and no sign-up.
How long does it take?
It depends on your device. Roughly 1.3 times the length of the video on a computer, and several times that on a phone. A time estimate is shown while it runs.
Are there devices it won't work on?
It needs a browser with WebCodecs, the modern API for handling video. Chrome and Edge on desktop work, as does Safari 16.4 or later on iPhone. If your browser isn't supported, the page will say so.
Can I use 4K video?
Yes, but because 4K is heavy on the device, the output is scaled down to Full HD (1920x1080). The page tells you before it does this.
Can it hide anything other than faces, like licence plates?
Not at the moment. Faces only.
